There is quite a lot of stuff inside this machine. The front panel hinges open, and this view
shows what lurks behind. Most of the works are actually mounted on 13 plug-in boards slotted into a card cage. The power supplies are very nice Melcher switched mode modules mounted on the back panel (which hinges down for access to the backplane). |

The signal processing and A to D convertors are on the left, and the Z80 microprocessor
boards are on the right. The 2 spare slots (and a number of front panel buttons) were left unused for possible future upgrades. Below is one of the (2) high speed precision A to D converters. |
