Above is a close up of Nagra's single direct drive DC servo motor area. The
can over the motor is a mumetal screen, and the motor itself is mounted on a mounting plate with its optical encoding disk on the other side. The whole transport seems identicle to that used in the audio machine. (The motor also looks the same as those used in the Nagra T-Audio.)
Below is the IV-J with the transport hinged up.
