The Sony AVC-3450CE 'Rover' camera ('Mk11')
Here's Sony's futuristic electronic cine camera that came with the AV-3420CE portable video
recorder.

This was the second type of 'Rover' video camera, with a re-designed casing and mixed field
videcon image tube.

While retaining the Canon lens of the earlier camera, this was a lighter weight and more
ergonomic version. The mixed field tube (electrostatic deflection, electromagnetic focusing) gave
better geometry and higher resolution.

A fairly simple device to use; focus the lens, adjust the iris (exposure go/no-go indication in the
viewfinder) and pull the trigger.

This version was also designed to be used as a field monitor. The horizontal rods folded to the
front to convert the body into a table-top tripod, and the viewfinder eyepiece flips up.
