A fairly self-explanatory close up of the front of the machine, though the
camera lens has introduced some distortion.
The housing that the lacing diagram is fixed to seems to be of a differing
shape to other VPR-5's. It is not known if this was a specific modification to the BBC machines only or was just a transitional change of some kind. The BBC did though fix a head brace to the full track erase head (just visible towards the right of this picture).
Note that the control surface is recessed to protect the buttons and controls.
